TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean and bright Garnet color with slightly reddish reflections. Medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Entry into the nose with great intensity and complexity. Desenvolupa of entrance certain opulence where they predominate in front of all the succulent black fruit as the cherries and blueberries. In time and with certain oxygenation in the wine, the aromas of pressed flowers are manifested, all accompanied by a background of notes of earth.

TASTE:

It has a medium body, with a very succulent core of fruit that explodes with all its fullness. It opens up in the mouth with all its notes. Incredibly well balanced. Persistent and very long in the mouth. A wine perfectly to evolve in the bottle.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
Château Canon, originally Clos St-Martin, is a Bordeaux wine of the denomination of Saint-Émilion, classified among the first grands crus classés B in the Classification of the wine of Saint-Émilion. The winery is located just southwest of the old town of Saint-Émilion, in the commune of the same name, very close to the properties such as Château Magdelaine, Château La Gaffelière and Château Ausone and since the beginning of the 20th century is considered one of the main Saint -milions. Originally, a small vineyard planted around the church of San Martín by Jean Biès at the beginning of the 18th century, the estate was named Clos San Martín, sold in 1760 to Jacques Kanon, probably the source of the name Canon. A true hill, the original 12-hectare vineyard was surrounded by a wall, which Kanon expanded by acquiring seven small surrounding vineyards. He sold it in 1770 with great benefit to Raymond Fontémoing, a prominent négociant of Libournais. Still called Clos St-Martin, the name was not modified until 1853, when the modern name was taken, to the fury of the owners of Château Canon of Fronsac. Acquired by André Fournier in 1919, the hacienda remained in the Fournier family successfully until grapevine disease problems arose in the early 1990s, and was sold to the Wertheimer family in 1996. The area of the vineyard extends 21.5 hectares (of which 13 are within the original closure, with grape varieties of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Chateau Canon produces on average 7,500 boxes of the Grand Vin Chateau Canon and the second Clos wine of Canon.
