TASTING NOTE
Colour

Ruby red half bright.

AROMA:

Reticent but complex nose opens with oxygenation to display a maturity that tends to almost roasted aromas of dark berries and liquorice. Its evolution more strongly mark the maturity of its aromas, very likely to minerals.

TASTE:

Sweet, deep, lush, brooding showing dark berries and black cherry fruit with threats of sensuality through exotic quality chocolate liquor. A wine enormously rich, while inscrutable.

MATCHING
Being a wine that has a great evolution in his early life is the perfect companion dishes of game, to go to perfect the dishes of the highest quality food.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Pétrus wines seem to deserve all the superlatives attributed to them and almost mystical devotion to wine enthusiasts. This is a unique wine, the more concentrated and rich Pomerol. However, despite its power, the secret of Pétrus greatness lies in its remarkable balance and its penetrating aroma, which differ not only from other Pomerols but also of all other wines. This unique personality is due to the nature of the soil of its vineyards. Both the surface and subsurface clay predominates, contrary to all its neighbours with an abundance of sand. The vines are very old, thanks in part to Mr. Loubat (the owner) refused to start the vineyard after the disastrous frost of 1956 and waited patiently for the strains were recovered. Jean-Cleaude Berrouet, one of the world's most renowned winemakers in charge of winemaking. When the best grapes are picked in the best conditions with controlled yields and fermentation is completed, it imposes a strict selection of the best wines to be mixed to achieve the Pétrus. Often more than half the wine is rejected, in use in children generic wines.
