TASTING NOTE
Colour

Beautiful ruby red colour, very brightly.

AROMA:

Reticent aromas of dark berries, spice, liquorice and menthol, wrapped in a sea of red fruits.

TASTE:

It’s flexible, mature, with an unexpected fullness and pleasant in the mouth. This is the harmony from the beginning, because this is not a very powerful wine, but yes silky and smooth. Very sweet in the aftertaste and with tannins of late arrival. This is one of the best wines of La Fleur Pétrus made since the late forties.

MATCHING
Unbeatable with red meat dishes, meat in sauce, stews, and of course game dishes. The evolution of this wine is further refined so that their marriage is superb.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Located in the eastern part of the plateau of Pomerol, where you can find the best properties, immediate neighbour Petrus, La Fleur-Pétrus produces one of the best wines of Pomerol. Following the terrible frost of 1956 was again required to replant the entire vineyard. The vineyard is still young, at the discretion retained by the owner, Jean-Pierre Moueix society, who acquired it in 1953 to Mr. Garet. The wine of the Fleur-Pétrus is less bulky, with a lighter than other Pomerol of Moueix society, like Pétrus, Trotanoy and Latour in Pomerol, but is extremely smart, and has an specially smooth texture and voluptuous. It generally reaches maturity faster than the wines above and can usually be drunk within 5 or 6 years after the vintage. Recent harvests have been of consistent quality, and wine has rediscovered its velvety elegance.
