TASTING NOTE
Colour

Intense cherry red with garnet highlights. High layer, dense.

AROMA:

Clean fragances of wild berries as blackberry and blueberries. Subtle floral notes with violet nuances in a toasted background. Penetrating, complex, captivating.

TASTE:

Fresh and pleasant attack. Velvey in palate with rounded and ripe tanins. Reminds of red fruits with spiced and liquorice notes. Long and brilliant end.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
Chateau La Conseillante is a Bordeaux wine from the apellation of origin Pomerol. Although the wines from this zone are not classified, the estate is considered as one of the Grand Crus from the region. From 1871, just before phylloxera, the cellar is directed by the Nicolas family. The estate is constituded of 12 hectares (80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc). Apart from La Conseillante they also elaborate a second wine called Duo de Conseillante.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
