The nose is the purity of the terroir. Its complexity is overwhelming, where the range of fruit is the main protagonist. Ripe black fruit, such as plum, figs, cherries, blackberries and almost computerized cassis, predominates in its olfactory phase, where it finishes its most mineral part with its notes of stone and graphite.
Intense mouth entry, with character and almost chewy personality. Concentrated but well integrated and balanced tannins with an extraordinary vividness, thus leading to a long and memorable finish.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
