AROMA:

With notes of ripe fruit and light jammy traces of a riper vintage, toasty background of oak with notes of chocolate, peat, dark-roasted flavours.

TASTE:

Meaty, full, flavoursome, definite sweetness, long mineral background.

MATCHING
It will be perfect with the most traditionals Rioja’s stews, and also with red meta, as a oxtail with a mushrooms sauce.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
