Valdespino was funded in 1875. In 1883 the House of Valdespino became a supplier of Jerez de la Casa Real in Spain and in 1932 also became Jerez providers of the Royal House of Sweden. They had the idea to register the mark Sacristía in 1910. The sacristy is the area where the best casks from Jerez are ageing. Other wineries now use this term, but is only Valdespino having the right to use it. In 1999 it became part of the Estévez group.
