I bought that bottle as a gift for someone who lived in a different country. Everything was perfect, the order super simple, the delivering slightly late but at the good spot for the good person. Concerning the Porto itself, I was told the bottle was very nice and the wine delicious. "Best gift ever". I wasn't surprised about that as it was recommended by some portuguese friends of mine as the most "gourmet" Porto. I surely do not regret and strongly recommend!
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
