WHO CAN CONTRACT
A blend of traditional varieties from the Douro River valley, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), and Tinto Cão, makes up the Dow's Fine Tawny Port, one of the most accessible wines from the winery owned by the renowned Symington family.

Unlike Dow’s Ruby, which stayed in vats and large casks, this port, brought to you directly from Vila Nova de Gaia, completed its 3-year aging in small oak barrels, giving it greater smoothness and lightness. Dow’s Tawny offers a subtle combination of fruity and nutty aromas, along with a fresh and balanced palate. Perfect for those looking to get started with this style of wine.

Wines fortifieds designation of origin D.O.C. Porto/Douro
Vinho do Porto is a renowned sweet wine from Portugal, commercialized and consumed all over the world. The name becomes from Porto, city whose port shipped the wines abroad. The vines cultivation is located on the north of the country, previous to the posterior vinification, at the Alto Douro region. The Douro River (Duero) flows between the Marao and Montemuro ranges. Cold winters and dry and hot summers. Nowadays the wines can be aged at the Alto Douro region, but until 1986 the ageing only was permitted at the town of Vilanova de Gaia, close to Porto.
