Colour: Intense black, iodine notes. Dense.
Aroma: Liquorice, kirsch, pure chocolate, blackcurrant, nutmeg, woodwork, spices, toasted bread, pastries, peanut butter, tobacco, balsam...
Taste: Wide, involving, velvety, sweet, acid, salty, bitter. This white wine made of raisins reveals tastes of red fruits, giving it its freshness; nuts, hazelnuts and toasted almonds giving it sobriety and wood shades, and making its taste persistent.
Serve very cold in liqueur glass. It improve with the age, even open. Although an excellent dessert on itself, it can also be a nice partner for: black chocolate, chocolate dessert, coffee, refined cakes, etc.
The base of this DON PX CONVENTO is the young PX subjected to oxidative ageing for a minimum of 25 years in American oak.
