The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.

Un aceite que ahora mismo no es fácil encontrar y para nuestro gusto, bastante superior al resto que hemos probado (de hecho, fue el aceite durante 7 años en la cena de los premios Nobel). Destacar que es más barato que otros cuyo sabor no es diferencial para nada como sí lo es el Dauro. El producto llegó muy rápido, perfectamente envasado y ya lo estamos degustando.
