James Burrough in 1820 created the drink from the perfect blend of botanicals and grain. The distillation method and the secret recipe that created James is still today used in the manufacture of gin. Looking for a name for your gin to represent the heart and full body, Burrough was inspired by the "Beefeaters, " the security guards at the Tower of London. The first Beefeater distillery was founded on the banks of the River Thames to be moved production in 1958 at the Kennington distillery need for better and bigger. Today it continues to occur there. Beefeater Gin is the only English (London Dry Gin) produced in London. Bombay Sapphire gin, as a good London Dry Gin is distilled in Cheshire, England.
