Damm completes its range of speciality beers with a wheat beer, brewed according to the original German recipe of the 16th century Bavarian master brewers, Weiss Damm is characterized by the inclusion of wheat in the brewing process, which gives it an intense body and a taste full of fruity overtones and spiced bases with a cloudy, whitish colour. Now, with the launch of Weiss-Damm, the company has brought a wheat beer to the market, a beer type which is heavily consumed in the regions of Central Europe and rapidly gaining in popularity in the rest of the world.
This style of beer, brewed with a wheat base was originally created by Bavarian master brewers in the 16th century. In this type of beer, the yeast is not filtered (heffe-weissbier), giving it a cloudy, pale-yellow appearance which caused it to be baptized with the popular name of Weissbier or white beer.
Weiss Damm has retrieved the original recipe of the traditional German wheat beers to brew a true Weissbier, with all its unique and distinctive characteristics.
Weiss Damm is a cloudy, pale-yellow coloured beer with a creamy head, dense and highly enduring with an alcoholic level of 5% Vol. Very strong-bodied with a taste full of fruity overtones including banana, peach, ripe vine peach and orange skin. Clove stands out in its spiced base. It has a delicate, subtle carbonated flavour. The flavour of malted wheat combines on the palate with a highly refreshing, slight acidic taste. Weiss Damm is a beer which invites you to enjoy its intense aromas and savour it slowly in order to appreciate its full complexity
