WHO CAN CONTRACT
The modern winery of the Paraje de Ubieta is the result of the long journey begun at the end of the 19th century -in 1895- by Don Félix Martínez Lacuesta (Haro 1873 - 1922).
Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta continues today in the hands of the family after successive generations and is one of the Centennial Wineries of La Rioja. The land of Haro, the winemaking wisdom of its people, the vineyards and the winery are strong foundations that serve as the basis for a modern wine company, which produces wines with the traditional flavor of Rioja, while innovating with new proposals thinking about the future markets.
Vermouth, which Martínez Lacuesta has made in an artisanal way since 1937, is considered one of the best appetizers.
To the traditional and artisan system of making vermouth, using natural aromatic plants and herbs to cold macerate the base white wine, a short aging period of 7 months is added in new French Allier oak barrels with a medium toast. The result is this bitter, aromatic vermouth, with an intense color, with roasted bottoms and with that peculiar flavor that reminds us of traditional vermouth.
It is an alcoholic, sweet, bitter and aromatic drink. A pleasure for the senses.
