Colour

Intense yellow, with golden reflections, bright, clean.

AROMA:

Remarkable intensity, very complex wine, subtlety, elegance, very clean and frank aromas. Memories of white stone fruits and some tropical fruit ( apricot, fuji apple, pink grapefruit, ripe pineapple), white flowers (wild daisies, wild herbs ) , fresh and olfactory clean.

TASTE:

Tasty but with a citrus, floral, thyme, chamomile and fennel register. Very pleasant, a drying point, fresh acidity, we highlight the final mineral sensation. All very well combined with an enveloping flavor of fine lees, density in the mouth, creaminess, unctuousness that gives this wine a long life and a very personal flavor. Really nice, of very limited production, to discover the value and flavor of a good old white Cariñena "Samsó Blanc".

MATCHING
Ideal with local gastronomy dishes, fish and seafood from the Costa Brava, rice dishes, "suquets", fish stews, seafood dishes. It also harmonizes with Japanese cuisine, natural cuisine.

Service temperature from 10º to 12º C.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Carme Casacuberta, with a degree in Chemical sciencies and winemaker, together with his husband Antoni Pena, industrial engineer, moved by their passion for wine launched in 2002 the project Olivardots in the term of Capmany. Located in a unique area and enclosed in 4 hectares of vine, in 2006 they built up the winery, designed to work with the help of the gravity, and adding new techniques to preserve the traditional working systems. At the beginning of 2016, a new generation, her daughter Carlota Pena, joined the project. Another oenologist and passionate about the vineyard and wine who will bring new ideas and challenges in favor of this exciting family project. Olivardots currently has 9 hectares of vineyard owned.

Elaboration:
Manual harvest in small 10 kg boxes, carrying out a cold pre-maceration (2º-4º C.) in a cold room and subsequent film maceration for 24 hours. The wine has fermented at low temperature in a stainless steel vat. staying in contact with its lees for 8 months.

Wines whites designation of origin D.O. Empordà
The appellation of Origin Empordà is located on the northern-east of Catalonia. The territory is distributed in two regions and 55 villages. 35 belong to Alt Empordà and the remaining 20 belong to Baix Empodrà. The average annual production reaches the 65000 hectoliters of wine with a planted surface of around 2000 hectares. From its beginnings the denomination was called Empordà-Costa Brava, but in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was deleted.
