It has a medium deep red colour.

Subtly complex aromas of blackberry, cherry red, candy and flowers, all surrounded by metallic notes.

A bit tight at the entrance, is expanded in the mid-palate which leaves no room for escaping any of its nuances. In a large structure, vibrant and classy, the 2004 has a core Pétrus ore concentrate and the ineffable nature of their spices. Finishes with an incredible aromatic persistence and great subtlety, which probably evolved in the direction of caramel and truffle.

His incredible delicacy shows that will be a good companion for small game dishes, those in power do not taste very high that we can appreciate the subtlety of a wine of such features.
Pétrus wines seem to deserve all the superlatives attributed to them and almost mystical devotion to wine enthusiasts. This is a unique wine, the more concentrated and rich Pomerol. However, despite its power, the secret of Pétrus greatness lies in its remarkable balance and its penetrating aroma, which differ not only from other Pomerols but also of all other wines. This unique personality is due to the nature of the soil of its vineyards. Both the surface and subsurface clay predominates, contrary to all its neighbours with an abundance of sand. The vines are very old, thanks in part to Mr. Loubat (the owner) refused to start the vineyard after the disastrous frost of 1956 and waited patiently for the strains were recovered. Jean-Cleaude Berrouet, one of the world's most renowned winemakers in charge of winemaking. When the best grapes are picked in the best conditions with controlled yields and fermentation is completed, it imposes a strict selection of the best wines to be mixed to achieve the Pétrus. Often more than half the wine is rejected, in use in children generic wines.
