TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections. It has a medium / high intensity layer. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

The nose is complex in its maximum state, as it has a very expressive fruity charge (red and black), with subtle touches of violet, cloves, pepper and curry.

TASTE:

Entry and passage through the palate with great expressiveness. It is surrounded by a rich texture that can be almost palpable, perfectly combined with integrated tannins and with a fresh and alive elegance that makes it a long, friendly and very persistent wine.

MATCHING
Perfect with spicy dishes and high taste power. For example: Tikka Massala, Thai Red Curry, Entrecotte with pepper sauce, steak tartar with mustard.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Boekenhout is a native Cape tree highly prized for fine furniture making. Seven historical chairs can be seen on the wine label, paying homage to the skills of 18th-century artisans in creating beauty from natural sources. An interesting parallel for this red, mostly Cabernet sauvignon with a small percentage of Cabernet franc. The 2014 vintage is among the most elegant of this winery. - Destemming of the grapes. Cold maceration in stainless steel tanks, alcoholic fermentation with controlled temperature (between 27º and 30ºC) with frequent punching. Malolactic in barrels of 225 liters. - Aged in French oak and clarified in egg white.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
