Wide range of aromas with variety predominance (dry grass, hay, soil) supplemented with tertiary aromas of ageing, with frank memories of smoked, roasted nuts (almonds, hazelnuts), spices (nutmeg) and plant background (mushrooms, rainforest).
The palate is gentle and moderately dense on entrey, warm and refreshing tannic structure, balanced acidity, alcohol, fruit and caramelized in the aftertaste and ending with lime memories (gypsum).
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
