WHO CAN CONTRACT
The grapes for KAI 2014 were selected from the best lots of our vineyard Max V in the Aconcagua Valley, which was planted with Carmenère vines in 1992 and 1993. The KAI vineyards are located on the third alluvial terrace of the Aconcagua River, with clay-loam soils, deep gravel (clay content varies between 25% to 40%), 50% stone content, in well-drained soil, whose large closeness to the cool Pacific Ocean allows us to grow a Carmenère high concentration, color and texture. Through precise agricultural practices and yields low of approximately 1.5 to 2 kilos per plant, a good set of grapes and a controlled vigor. The grapes are harvested late in the season ensure a good expression of ripeness and fruity flavors.
