SERGI GRAU

Sergi Grau Segarra is Associate in Management of Vins i Licors Grau and Head of Operations area of the company (purchasing, warehouse management and logistics).

He graduated in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration from ESADE (LIC & MBA 93-98).

Later he continued his education at ESADE on an European research project (ESPRIT) on the Development of a system of indicators for Business Excellence.

As profesional level, has always been linked to the family business, through all the departments of the company store, invoicing, commercial and customer service.

In the final year, he combined training with a study of costs in the company Molins Interiors and joined to Grau Vins i Licors in 2000, once the ESPRIT project is completed.

JORDI GRAU

Jordi Grau Segarra is Associate in Management of Vins i Licors Grau, where he directs the Vinoteca and is the technical manager in commercial tasks and tasting courses.

He is a Chemical Engineer and Master in Food Chemistry and Engineering from Institut Químic de Serrià of Barcelona and Bachelor of Enology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona.

Before joining on Vins i Licors Grau, has combined work in warehouses like Mas Gil de Calonge or Bodegas Torres, with collaborations in the IQS. He has also worked in media as TVE, workshops and courses as in the Forum Gastronomic Girona, in theTecnotastor Flors i Violes de Palafrugell, in gastronomic societies jury at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the project Valdubón X where together 9 people over state wide wrote and designed a wine.

Jordi Grau was enthroned l’Ordre des Knight Coteaux de Champagne in 2006 and in 2009 was elected Palafrugellenc de l’Any, award given by Edicions Baix Empordà and Equip Crònica d’un any.

EDUARD SOLÀ

Eduard Solà Peracaula is the sommelier of Vinoteca Wine and Spirits Grau and responsible tasting courses since 2002. Sommelier qualified from the School of Hotel Sant Narcís de Girona and the Foundation UdG. His career has been linked to the Girona hospitality and, more specifically, on the Costa Brava where he has worked in various hotels and restaurants.

The year 2011 was proclaimed Nariz de Oro Catalán and second nationally-ranked of Nariz de Oro, was also the 1st place of Torres Award for best service and wine pairing.

Eduard has worked in different schools as professor of sensory analysis, has served on the jury of various international competitions. Honorary director and cofounder of the wine competition organized by the school Giroví tasters of Gironès. He has worked in media as TVE, Journal of Girona, workshops and tastings at the Library of Palafrugell, at Mas Sorrer Gualta, the Solidarity Tasting Campllong for the TV3 Marathon, on gastronomic societies among others. It has also been guest of honor at the Fair Wine of Catalonia in Pals, a preacher of the New Wine Festival de Calonge and Palafrugell of the Year in 2011.
