TASTING NOTE
Colour

Intense yellow with grayish reflections, some slight flash of orange. Interesting to look at.

AROMA:

Complex, it came with many nuances, mineral sensations, memories of fine lees with intense nutmeg perfumes.

TASTE:

Tasty full-bodied, well structured, a white with personality. Live, broad and long wine in the mouth, taste memories, chamomile tea, ripe white fruits ( apple, grape skin ), creamy, very pleasant in the final set.

MATCHING
Flavored dishes, rice and baked fish, including white meats, turkey stuffed with dried fruit or nuts, pork tenderloin with porcini sauce and potato gratin, baked chicken ( "rustit al forn de festa major" ) with tomatoes and onions from Figueres.   Serving temperature from 10º to 12º C.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
La Sierra is a farm in the municipality of Espolla that is located very close to the highway, reaching the town from San Clemente. It is a vineyard that we all have very controlled so that each time we pass the side we have time to take a look. It is facing this, with a steep slope of more or less 8% and the owner is Serafín Geli. Elaboration: The wine obtained is a rather unusual wine because a red Lledoner vinified as black was produced. A fermentation between 18 and 23º C with a 14-day maceration with all the skins and half of the rapa. Then rest for 6 months with their mothers with very gentle weekly shakes and finally aging in bottles of more than a year. Soil Type: Metamorphic substrate for slates, fil.lites and schists and with a loamy-loamy and frank texture.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
