WHO CAN CONTRACT
Vineyards situation Vosne Romanée is situated just to the north of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The two greatest vineyards of Vosne and Flagey-Echezeaux, are entitled to use the Vosne-Romanée appellation. The A.C. of Vosne Romanée has an average vineyard size of 105 ha (13 in Flagey Echezeaux). There are 14 Premiers Crus and 7 Grands Crus. Characteristics "Les Suchots" consists of two continuous parcels between Romanée St Vivant and Richebourg on the South side, and "Les Echezeaux" on the North side. Wine making This wine is fermented in vats for 3-4 weeks and aged 15 months in oak barrels before bottling. Gastronomy It will be perfect with game, meats in sauce and strong cheeses. Typically, « Suchots » combines the richness of Le Richebourg with the delicacy of Romanée Saint Vivant. Concentrated and velvety, yet with a restrained elegance and refinement, it marries ripe fruit and tannins to notes of exotic spices and oak, with a subtle, perfumed bouquet and extended silky finish. This wine can age another 12-15 years.

The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
