TASTING NOTE
Colour

Straw colour with golden-green iridescence. Bright and abundant tears.

AROMA:

Nose open complex, presents a comprehensive mix of floral and fruit tones. The dominant floral reminiscent of honeysuckle, heather flower on an attractive herbs background. All in good balance with fruity aromas of leeches, white pear, and fresh green apple. Aroma is not too intense but original, complex and difficult to describe to oil, salt and mineral notes. Going up in temperature we notice roasted aromas of a fine and delicate wood that integrate seamlessly, gaining in intensity, sweetness and density.

TASTE:

In the mouth it’s soft, creamy and expressive. It has a lively acidity that makes remarkable sense of freshness to the whole. In its development to become a perceived taste sensations described above for the nose. Final long and very pleasant.

MATCHING
The high character and complexity of this wine opens up a range of possibilities to combine their service, yet they recommend with white fish with sauce or baked o with Mediterranean rice with taste power average.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Located in Labastida (Rioja Alavesa), in the Sierra Cantabria, it is one of the most charming wine estates in Spain.Owned by the Rodriguez family since 1967, the renowned producer Telmo Rodriguez took over in 2009. Remelluri currently extends over 160Ha, of which 100Ha are spread over some 150 plots. The vineyards have been certified organic since 2013. The highest vineyards, located at 800m altitude, are planted with white grape varieties destined for the special white Remelluri blanco. This wine created by Telmo in his youth was first released in the 1994 vintage. A blend of nearly a dozen grape varieties, including some from the Rhone, it focuses on terroir. One thing they never blend is terroir. In fact, Rodriguez's first decision when he took over Remelluri in 2009 was to create a new wine with all grapes sourced from suppliers (they accounted for 40% of the grapes processed on the property). Called Lindes, two reds were released starting with the 2010 vintage: Lindes de Labastida and Lindes de San Vicente. The idea was to show the clear differences between the two villages where Remelluri's suppliers are based: earlier and riper harvests and more structure in San Vicente; higher altitude, freshness and slow ripening in Labastida. The Reserva is Remelluri's flagship red, made exclusively from grapes grown on the estate since the 2010 vintage. It is a blend of Tempranillo with other traditional Rioja red varieties such as Garnacha, Graciano and a little Mazuelo. The best red grapes go into Granja Remelluri Gran Reserva. The blend includes some Garnacha with a marked Atlantic character and Telmo Rodríguez wants to increase its blend to 20-25%. Graciano also plays an important role in Remelluri's reds.
