Intense yellow with reflections of ripe lemon, bright, clean.

On the nose, aromas of white fruit, citrus notes, sweet spices and a floral background.

On the palate it shows an acidity and a magnificent minerality that gives it an incredibly long length.

Great wine, with flavor, dishes and gastronomy of a level, a marvel of Basque cuisine, cod pil-pil, hake Basque, Marmitako, grilled rice.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Oxer has always wanted to make wines in Rioja Alavesa and in 2005 he went to Laguardia convinced of the uniqueness of that area. Convinced of the uniqueness, Oxer invests every penny in buying old parcels.
The vineyards in La Rioja Alavesa are organically worked in regenerative agriculture. Man and mule work the land with great care and respect for the old vineyards. Both the name and the labeling are carried out in an expected detail, from the meaning to the symbolism, expressing it perfectly with its labels that try to express its universe. All the meticulous work in the vineyards and winery ends in elegant and fresh wines.
IRAUN - It arose from the idea of creating a great viura wine, aged, that would express its terroir very well. A white Rioja aged in barrels but that will preserve its freshness and subtlety.
His name Iraun comes from the Basque, from the verb Perdurar. It is a small tribute of Oxer to her mother tongue, a language that despite its history and its adversities, its use among the Basques remained firm. It is considered one of the oldest languages in the world. The label shows an "Oroboro", a snake that bites its tail winking at eternity, referring to the beginning as being the end.
Elaboration:
Vinification: Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with its yeasts in stainless steel tanks, previously looking for hyperoxidation when pressing. Once the fermentation is complete, the wine is transferred to jars and used French oak barrels, where it will remain for 12 months.
Vineyard: From 1 ha. planted in 1919 in Elvllar ( Rioja Alavesa ) at 600 meters of altitude, in clay-calcareous soil. Mixed plantation in the old way, Tempranillo, Viura and Garnacha Blanca, with a yield of 3000 kg. per hectare.
Varieties: 97% Viura, 3% Garnacha Blanca.
