It is straw yellow in color, intense and bright.

AROMA:

On the nose we can find aromas of ripe pear and apple essence, very attractive, with some hints of white pepper, a touch of almond and vanilla that resurfaces with time. It is a rarity to find white Pinot in Nuits-St.-Georges.

TASTE:

The cru of La Perrière is produced, as its name indicates, in an old quarry. With very rocky and calcareous soils. This unique cru offers intense, complex and unusual wines. This wine is as confidential as it is fascinating. It comes from vines planted in 1947, the production ranges from 2000 to 2500 bottles.

Its acidity evokes a perfect pairing with chicken, among other white meats, as well as with Italian pasta recipes.

The Gouges generations have been working for almost a century to highlight the wines of Nuits Saint Georges. The fourth generation, now with Grégory and Antoine at the helm, have become Pinot noir experts. With 14 hectares of vineyard all located in Nuits Saint Georges, they produce straight, intense, constant and vertical wines that are what have given their estate its current reputation. Their production goes relates the climatic conditions of each year, and their method of vine cultivation focuses on quality and respect for the terroir instead of quantity. Gouges is a highly appreciated producer in its appellation. It produces mainly red wines, from Pinot noir, and although it does not have Grand Cru vineyards, the Premiers Crus of the Domaine are considered some of the best in the Côte de Nuits, the most outstanding being Les Saint-Georges.
