Colour
Lemon yellow with golden hues.
AROMA:
It shows a good potency where the aromas of Mediterranean aromatic herbs such as lavender and mint stand out on a fresh base of freshly mowed hay and combining with the tropical and citrus aromas of grapefruit and lemon. In a second stage, the sweet memories of vanilla, honey and nuts appear.
TASTE:
In the mouth it has a pleasant and sweet entry; with a dense and fluid mid palate that ends with a soft and light bitter finish that makes it long and persistent.
MATCHING
It goes perfectly with rice dishes and paellas, especially seafood and fish; seafood or baked fish and with any poultry or white meat dishes.
Serving temperature between 9 and 12º C.

The vineyards are located in Font-rubí, in El Pla del Penedès and in Banyeras del Penedès. They grow 7 different varieties of grapes, transferring the characteristics of each area to the grape. In short, the best of the land is sought, what each piece of the territory expresses.
Viticulture is defined as traditional, ecological and precision. It is the only way that the work that takes place in the vineyards is understood. Always looking for quality instead of quantity, promoting the grape to express the character of the plot.
With this mono varietal from xarel.lo, Blanc de Mayte 2018 begins a new and small project where the quality of the grape is its maximum reference. With very little production, a lot of selection and little intervention, an attempt is made to transfer the characteristics of the plot from which the grapes come to the wine.
Variety: Xarel.lo, from a single vineyard, Les Julies.
Soil type: Calcareous, deep, well drained and with a loamy texture. At an altitude of 216 meters.
Viticulture: Ecological and precision.
The Harvest is by hand with a selection of bunches and in a 15-kilo box. Chilled grapes in the vineyard itself and with oxygen deficiency. Fermentation is at low temperature in stainless steel tanks.
Aging: Minimum of 8 months on its lees. 30% in 300-liter French oak barrels, fine-grained and light toasted. Battonage every two weeks.
