Following the style of the previous vintages, we will find a wine with a great structure and a lot of personality. Its highlights are notes of very mature tropical fruit, as pineapple, papaya, banana, etc., some citric smells together with some slight toasted nuances due to its elaboration in barrel.
All these present notes are blended elegantly with some lactic touches, characteristic of this complex elaboration, which give him a great and pleasant structure and creamy. During its evolution in bottle it will unroll all these toasted notes, creamy, candy and lactic touches. Day by day it will be more long and persistent in nose as in mouth. Their characteristics predict a good evolution in bottle.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
