Colour

Deep red mahogany, high density, with shades of brown as befits a wine of a long ageing.

AROMA:

Fresh, intense, complex aroma with notes of jams (blackberry, cherry) and leather.

TASTE:

Superb body on the palate, with silky tannins, exquisitely developing at length in the mouth.

MATCHING
We recommend that this wine is decanted 30 minutes before serving, so that its aromas can de better appreciated. Excellent with meat dishes such as roasts or the stews typical of Mediterranean cuisine, meat braised in tomato and pepper sauce or cooked with aromatic herbs and spices (thyme, oregano, rosemary, laurel and
pepper).

Wines reds designation of origin D.O. Penedès
Between the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona is located the Penedès region, with the largest wine-growing surface and the largest production in Catalonia. Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the Pre-litoral Mountains and from the Llobregat River to the Gaià River. The most important cities of this appellation of origin are the Vilafranca del Penedès (capital city) and Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. The more planted variety is Xarel·lo, with a surface of more than 7000 hectares.
