TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean and bright Intense red color with garnet reflections. Medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

On the nose, we find the intensity of red fruit in all its records. Undoubtedly, it is the main character, but they harmonize with a perfect balance with the floral notes, where violet is strengthened, We can say and more than justify, that in this wine the word terroir does more than justice with the expression of the minerality.

TASTE:

Entry into the mouth where the red fruit is once again present, and where it harmonizes perfectly with a truly enveloping freshness. Perfectly integrated tannins and a sublim elegance. All ending with a long and persistent final, combined with a balsamic background that we find in the retro-nasal way.

MATCHING
Its complexity and elegance makes it ideal for marrying it with Mussaca, Grilled red meats, Stuffed eggplant or vegetable dishes.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Moncerbal is a red wine made by Bodegas Descendientes de J Palacios, in Villafranca del Bierzo, León. The winery was created by Álvaro Palacios and his nephew Ricardo in 1999, in love with the potential of the area and the variety of the Mencía grape. Moncerbal is a wine located in the village of Corullón, on slate, quartz and marble floors. Oriented mainly to the southwest at an average altitude of 700 meters on steep slopes, it supports a continental climate with a strong Atlantic influence. The vineyard is worked under the precepts of biodynamic agriculture. The elaboration is done in a very traditional way, in open wooden vats and stepping in a subtle way ferments the must with the skins, together with the indigenous yeasts. It is left to macerate for 35 days and is transferred to small French oak barrels where it performs the malolactic fermentation and its subsequent aging. Moncerbal represents another spot in Corullón, another face in which the concentration given by the soil is the predominant note, though, without losing the finesse provided by the influence of the Atlantic climate and the vibration of the old vines.
