A deep violet with violet reflections.

AROMA:

The nose is expressive and complex, with aromas of ripe fruit reminiscent of cherry and blackberry.

TASTE:

After a first contact of extraordinary finesse and refinement, the mouth is filled with exuberant flavors of spices, vanilla and plum ending in a long mineral finish.

Made from an exceptional terroir, Le Petit Mouton by Mouton Rothschild is the second wine of Château Mouton-Rothschild.

Made from grapes from the youngest strains selected from the Premier Cru vineyard, vintage, vinification and bottling of this wine are carried out with the same attention to every detail.
The grapes are collected in small open baskets, fermented in Mouton oak vats and matured in oak barrels using traditional methods. This wine meets all the conditions to express the elegance and abundance of flavor of a great Pauillac.

Following the premise of the exclusive design of the labels of the first wine, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild chose a label for Le Petiti Mouton inspired by a drawing by the famous poster artist Jean Carlu.

In its first vintage, 1993, this wine was named Le Second Vin by Mouton Rothschild, but since the next vintage, 1994, it was changed to Le Petit Mouton, the name of the residence of the Baroness located in the heart of the property.
