TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Intense red color with garnet reflections, where it has a medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Nose entry where it offers a great aromatic representation, black stone fruit (plum and cherry), the floral touches of blackcurrant and roasted notes are expressed along with vanilla from oak.

TASTE:

In the mouth it is elegant and with a very good presence of tannins. He manages to express himself with spectacular purity and frankness. Long-lasting, persistent and fresh.

MATCHING
Perfect to accompany French cuisine, where we will highlight dishes such as Côte de boeuf, Boeuf Bourgignon, Fondue bourguignone, Cassoulet, Chili con carne
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The Domaine Lafage, located on the outskirts of Perpignan, is the winery of Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage, sixth generation in charge of the family vineyards. The modern history of the winery began with 36 ha of inherited old vines and gradually spread to very varied corners of the Roussillon, in which the different climates and terroirs follow one another, allowing the winery to develop a catalog of wines of the most complete of all of France.

Between the sea and the mountains, Lafage brings together three very specific terroirs: L'Agly (black marl soil, which gives opulence and authenticity to the Muscat, Grenache and Carignan grapes), Perpignan (Tramontana and sea, calcareous soils in alluvial areas , ideal for the white and gray Grenache whites, and for their rosés) and Les Aspres (marble-schist soils, surrounded by scrub, the last vineyard planted on terraces at the foot of the Pyrenees).

They harvest the grapes by hand, pampering the vineyard to the maximum and respecting nature in every detail. In the winery, they give most of the prominence to the fruit, working with materials such as stainless steel or cement and reserving the wood, often of large volume, for high-end wines that can integrate it without its essential aromatic being seen distorted.

In their wines we often find a profile or characteristics that remind us of the wines made on the other side of the Pyrenees, especially those from the DO Empordà or even those from Priorat, despite being further away. As with the wines of these Catalan neighbors, Domaine Lafage's wines have always been recognized for offering an enormous price-pleasure ratio that has already seduced many consumers and has fascinated much of the international critics.
