Red cherry colour
Complex highlighting subtle notes of spices such as cloves, providing an early fresh expression of fruity notes like cherry and plum. It evolves heightening rich aromas of purple flowers from the Syrah, which disputes the notes of red fruits and licorice offered by the tempranillo. Lightly toasted in oak barrels provides a slight finesse.
The palate is ripe and full, indulging with elegant tannins.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
