Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with violet reflections. It has a medium-high layer intensity. Very nice to look at.
First contact in a glass where you are surrounded by a very fresh aroma. and intense ripe red fruit. Highlights include cherries, raspberries and plums, which share an aromatic catalog with spices, balsams and small mineral sprouts.
If we have to define it with one word, it is elegance. Delicate and fine Carignan, where it has a medium structure and ripe and slightly sweet tannins. And all wrapped up in a very lively acidity that makes it unique. Long, persistent and tasty finish.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
