ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

EMPORION is the name of the ancient Greek colony founded by the foceos, the current Ampurias, where they found the oldest wine references in the Iberian Peninsula, dating from the sixth century BC and EMPORDÃ hence the name that identifies the region as Designation of Origin. The winged horse, Pegasus EMPORION identified in coins (drachmas) that were minted in the colony in time of the Greeks and later the Romans.
