Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Direct and frank entry on the nose, where the aromas of slightly calculated red and black fruits are expressed with strength and personality, and where, they manage to harmonize with the spicy touches of vanilla, black pepper and small touches of cloves.

TASTE:

In the mouth it is fresh and very pleasant. We find the presence of toast, and where you can see the perfect ripening of the tannins. Unctuous finish, balanced and with a long life.

Perfect with meats, stews, cheeses, sausages, rice, barbecues etc ...

Bodega Dehesa de los Canónigos, is located in the Valladolid town of Pesquera de Duero, located on the Golden Mile, it is one of the great historical estates of the Ribera del Duero. Its name refers to the first owner, the Cabildo de la Catedral de Valladolid, made up of 22 canon monks.
Dehesa de los Canónigos is today a farm of 500 hectares, of which 60 correspond to vineyards, some of them more than 80 years old. The predominant variety is Tempranillo, a clone of Tinta Fina, other minor varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and the white variety Albillo.

It was the first farm to plant vines in the Douro repopulation after the arrival of phylloxera in the 18th century, with vines from the Californian Napa valley used as rootstock and grafted with vinifers brought from France by Toribio Lecanda.
