The power and elegance of a great Pauillac Audacious and innovative, known to be often the last to harvest, Jean-Charles Cazes defines the style of Lynch-Bages in the 30's. The racy and typical character of the wine puts it in the line of the great Pauillacs. It combines structure, finesse and elegance. Generous from his youth, he evolves in his maturity towards more flavors and complexity. Excellent qualitative homogeneity The fame of the property was drawn from 1945 through a series of great vintages. Some, though considered difficult in Bordeaux, are particularly successful in Lynch-Bages. Thus is born a signature, with deep color and tannic structure. Over the years, Jean-Michel Cazes, grandson of Jean-Charles, brings more flexibility and sweetness. Precision and distinction have, vintage after vintage, forged the qualitative homogeneity of Lynch-Bages.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
