TASTING NOTE
Colour

Deep dark red.

AROMA:

Delicious fragrance of black fruit and hints of toast around cherry licorice and spices. Great intensity and directness.

TASTE:

Opulent attack, velvety on the palate. Soft and round tanins, notes of raspberry jam, cassis and wood. Very long and pleasant. One of the most remarkable wines of Pomerol.

MATCHING
We recommended the beef steak with Porto, "Chateaubriand with béarnaise sauce," wild boar stew or "confit de canard cassolette."

The estate became the property of the Bailliencourt dit Courcols family in 1918, who remains the owners to date. The present proprietors are Nicolas, Christophe, Laure et Inès de Bailliencourt dit Courcol, with Mickaël Obert as winemaker. The estate consists of 26 hectares with the grape varieties of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc.
