Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry red. It has a low layer intensity. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

On the nose, it is complex. It is presented with light aromas of oak, developing in the notes of vanilla, and which combine with the hints of black and red fruit (black currant, raspberry and cherries) all powdered with spicy hints of pepper and licorice.

TASTE:

Entry into the mouth where expressiveness is the unmistakable seal. A wine with character, in which the notes of fruit are again manifested in the nose, paired with a slight sense of licorice. A wine with good aging potential, being long and persistent. Gevrey wines are characterized by their strong character, being powerful but extremely mild.

With the intense aromas of a Gevrey Chambertin it requires dishes that are at the same height. Perfect with a pork tenderloin with pepper sauce, duck breast with red fruits, chicken stuffed with plums, chicken for wine and countless ripe cheeses.

This famous name of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy takes its name from the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The famous area produces only red wines and spans approximately 406 hectares, 86 of which are classified as Premier Cru.

The grapes are collected in small, ventilated boxes, then carefully sorted on a sorting table. They are then completely stripped, but not crushed (kept whole) and gravely transferred to a tank.

The maceration lasts about 3 weeks, with more or less frequent perforations. The wine is aged in barrels for 16 or 18 months, using a very low proportion of new barrels, and finally the wine is bottled with a very light filtration.
