High aromatic power, large expiration bouquet, in which the notes of the aging period are predominant. Toasted oak, nutmeg and toasted candy memories.
Good structure, rich, unctuous, velvety, slightly salty, very expressive and tannic in mouth with a long end.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
